Padstow has evolved from a working fishing harbour into one of Cornwall's culinary capitals, largely thanks to chef Rick Stein who opened his first restaurant here in 1975. The picturesque harbour is ringed by excellent seafood restaurants, while the town's narrow streets are filled with independent shops and galleries. The Camel Trail cycle path starts here, offering traffic-free cycling along the estuary with stunning coastal views.
