Malham sits in spectacular limestone country at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, surrounded by some of England's most dramatic natural features. Malham Cove, a 260-foot curved cliff face, towers above the village with limestone pavement on top offering extensive views. Gordale Scar's overhanging cliffs and waterfall attract climbers and photographers, while Janet's Foss waterfall provides a gentler attraction. The Pennine Way passes through the village, bringing walkers to its traditional pubs and tea rooms. The surrounding countryside is superb for walking and wildlife watching.
