About
Betws-y-Coed has been the gateway to Snowdonia since Victorian times, when artists came to paint the dramatic scenery of forests, waterfalls, and mountain peaks. The village straddles the River Conwy at the point where several valleys meet, creating a hub for exploring Snowdonia National Park. Numerous waterfalls can be reached on foot, including the popular Swallow Falls, while adventure activities from mountain biking to zip-lining are available nearby. The village maintains a strong outdoor heritage with climbing shops, cafés, and traditional hotels serving walkers and climbers.
