About
Aberdovey (Aberdyfi) is a charming coastal village on the Dyfi estuary, popular with sailors, golfers, and walkers. The village grew as a Victorian resort and retains an elegant, understated character with waterfront Georgian and Victorian buildings. The extensive beach and estuary provide excellent conditions for watersports, while the championship golf course offers stunning coastal views. Outward Bound established their first centre here in 1941. The village serves as a gateway to southern Snowdonia, with dramatic mountain scenery just inland and the Dyfi Biosphere nearby.
